The Anatomy Lesson: Basic Users Manual

Sept. 30, Sunday 14.00-16.00

Basis of joint and muscle articulation with 1 hour of applied movement.
Course materials included.
Learn the anatomy basics needed for Pilates and other exercise classes.

Master Pilates Mat class

October 7, Sunday 15.00-17.00

An advanced class for those who want a more challenging workout. Participants should have at least 2 years of Pilates experience.
Longer movement phrases combined with a higher pace program.

Dance Improvisation and Expression I

to be announced,  Nov. 15.00-17.00

Connect with your inner Terpsichore, the muse of dance.
Explore your own unique movement vocabulary in a safe and supportive environment.
All classes can be designed for special groups of 8-15 (adolescents, children, friends, clubs, etc.)

Dance and Pilates Workshop

Location: M.S. Zena, Borneokade 68, Amsterdam Oost (Call to enroll)

By popular demand “Dancepilates” comes to you. This is a beginning/ intermediate level workshop that includes developmental dance movement sequences supported by the Pilates method. Class will include individual and small group work with improvisational dance expression activities. The class is two hours and costs 25€. Minimum 8 people.

Aphrodite's Workshop - Return to the Goddess Within

Location: M.S. Zena, Borneokade 68, Amsterdam Oost (Call to enroll)

In each woman a goddess resides, waiting to be revealed.

In many cases, an inadequate body image gets in the way of our inner beauty.

In this workshop, we will work on:

posture, body shape and improving your skin
relaxation techniques
analysis and improvement of your posture
stretch and strengthening exercises from Pilates technique
Chakra yoga
back exercises
body shaping techniques used by dancers
strengthening pelvic floor exercises
aromatherapy skincare (peeling and facial)
personal advice to develop your home program for body and skincare.

A few extras are included: a Mediterranean lunch is served and we will have the beauty products and the workout tools available for sale at special workshop prices.

Save Your Back Workshop

Location: M.S. Zena, Borneokade 68, Amsterdam Oost Weekends (Call to enroll)

An intense workshop that will teach you a basic exercise program to strengthen and align your back, thus preventing/reducing back pain.

Pilates and McKenzie exercises are included with techniques in dynamic posture and breathing. You will learn how to walk, stand, sit and lift.

Class size is limited (only 5) to allow for personal attention.

Class is slow, 2 hours and is thorough. You will leave with a written handout of the program with special modifications for you.

Cost is 40€ for the workshop.
